Welcome to car-accident-lawyer-calgary.ca (the “Website”), operated by Car Accident Lawyer Calgary (“we,” “us” or “our”). These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Website, our case review request form and any related services (together, the “Services”). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By using the Website or submitting a request, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. What We Do
Car Accident Lawyer Calgary is a referral service. We receive requests from people injured in motor vehicle accidents in Alberta and, with their consent, pass those requests to independent lawyers licensed by the Law Society of Alberta (“Partner Lawyers”). Partner Lawyers pay us a fee for each request we send them (see section 9).
We are not a law firm. We do not practise law, provide legal services, or act for anyone in a claim, dispute or proceeding.
3. No Legal Advice
Everything on the Website is general information only. This includes articles, guides, FAQs, city pages and anything our team tells you by email.
- It is not legal advice and may not apply to your situation.
- Laws, regulations and insurance rules change, and we cannot guarantee that every page is complete or current.
- Do not act, or decide not to act, based on the Website alone. Speak with a licensed lawyer about your specific circumstances.
4. No Lawyer-Client Relationship
Using the Website does not create a lawyer-client relationship with us or with any Partner Lawyer. This includes submitting a form or emailing us.
A lawyer-client relationship begins only when a lawyer agrees to represent you, usually in a written retainer or contingency fee agreement. Until then, do not send us confidential documents or information you would not want shared. If a lawyer asks for documents, they will tell you how to send them securely.
5. Important: Deadlines Apply to Your Claim
Accident claims in Alberta are subject to strict time limits. Some notice deadlines for accident benefits are measured in days, not months, and missing a deadline can affect or end your right to compensation.
Submitting a request through the Website does not stop or extend any deadline. We cannot tell you which deadlines apply to you. If you are worried about time, contact a lawyer as soon as possible.
6. Partner Lawyers
- Independence. Partner Lawyers are independent professionals. They are not our employees, agents or partners in any legal sense. Each one is solely responsible for the legal services they provide.
- No endorsement or guarantee. Referring your request to a Partner Lawyer is not a recommendation or endorsement of that lawyer. We do not guarantee that a lawyer will contact you, accept your case, or reach any particular result. Because Partner Lawyers pay us a fee for each request, please do your own research before choosing a lawyer.
- Verify for yourself. You are responsible for choosing your lawyer. You can confirm a lawyer’s licence in the Law Society of Alberta’s public Lawyer Directory.
- Fees. Any fee arrangement, including a contingency fee, is solely between you and the lawyer you hire. We are not a party to it.
- Concerns about a lawyer. Complaints about a lawyer’s conduct should go to the lawyer first, and if needed to the Law Society of Alberta.
7. Eligibility
To use the Services, you must:
- be 18 or older, or a parent or legal guardian submitting a request for a minor;
- be submitting a request about an accident in Alberta, or about one involving an Alberta resident.
8. Your Submissions
When you submit a request, you confirm that:
- the information you provide is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- you are the person involved, or you are authorized to act for them;
- you consent, by ticking the consent box on the form, to your information, including information about your accident, injuries and health that you choose to provide, being shared with Partner Lawyers as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may decline to refer any request, for example if it falls outside Alberta or outside the types of claims our network handles.
9. Cost of the Service and How We Are Paid
Our Services are free for people seeking a lawyer. We will never ask you for payment to submit a request or to be referred. We are paid by Partner Lawyers, who pay us a fee for each request we send them. The lawyer pays that fee whether or not you hire them, and it is separate from any fee arrangement between you and the lawyer.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- submit false, misleading or fraudulent information, or submit a request in someone else’s name without their authority;
- use the Website for any unlawful purpose;
- copy, scrape or harvest content or data from the Website by automated means;

17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If you continue to use the Website after an update, you accept the revised Terms.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of Alberta.
19. General
- If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remains in effect.
- If we do not enforce a provision, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.
- These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Website.
